Final Evaluation of the Eumedis Programme

The rationale for this project is to inform the Commission and partners of the key findings and lessons learned from the implementation of the EUMEDIS Programme through the use of external advisors, and to offer recommendations on possible future changes in the development of the Information Society landscape in the region.

The project is focused on funding regional pilot information society projects in five sectors; and funding the Internet based interconnection between the European research network and the Mediterranean research networks

The project support is a combination of:

• Conducting an assessment of the results of a selection of pilot projects and EUMEDCONNECT and MDP, the Monitoring and Dissemination Project
• Evaluating the impact of the programme and recommending how to contribute to the consolidation of results
• Formulating operational recommendations for the European Commission for future actions.
