EU-China Policy Support Facility
This contract supports the implementation of the EU–China Policy Support Facility, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and enabling the European Union to engage more strategically with China across a wide range of policy areas. By facilitating structured dialogue, knowledge sharing and evidence-based collaboration, the Facility contributes to achieving EU foreign policy objectives while addressing shared global challenges.
The project provides support for the preparation and follow-up of high-level dialogues, offering technical assistance, analytical studies, and peer-to-peer exchanges between European and Chinese institutions. Our work is focused across a number of key sectors, including:
- Climate and environment
- Digitalisation and innovation
- Economy, trade and competition
- Energy, circular economy and water
- Fisheries, ocean governance and polar affairs
- Agriculture, cosmetics, and food safety
- Human rights, development cooperation and gender equality
Through its activities, the Facility enables the EU to promote core values while equipping stakeholders with high-quality evidence and data to inform policy engagement.
The project also ensures flexible support for emerging issues and thematic cooperation, enhancing mutual understanding and reinforcing the EU’s voice in one of the world’s most strategically important bilateral partnerships.
