Development of an Industrialization Plan For Central Africa
Our team supported the design of a comprehensive industrialization plan for Central Africa, focused on achieving long-term economic transformation across Gabon, Angola, Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This initiative aimed to guide the structural evolution of regional economies through a shared strategic vision.
The Plan focused on three strategic axes:
- Updating the regional industrialization strategy to reflect the current global and regional context
- Developing an operational plan to implement the updated strategy
- Proposing regional projects that can catalyze transformation and complement national initiatives
Extensive fieldwork was carried out in the four participating countries, engaging public authorities, private sector actors, and regional stakeholders. The team identified the key industrial drivers that would act as levers for development.
The initiative concluded with a validation workshop involving the CEEAC, where the final plan was presented and endorsed as a strategic tool for the region.
The outcomes and recommendations were presented at a validation workshop held by the CEEAC (Economic Community of Central African States), where the final Plan was presented and endorsed as a strategic tool for the Central Africa region
