Policy Dialogue and Public Diplomacy Facility for Australia, Hong Kong/Macao, New Zealand, and Singapore
This assignment supports the European Union’s foreign policy objectives in Australia by deepening bilateral relations and strategic dialogues, while enhancing mutual understanding through tools of public, economic and cultural diplomacy. The project addresses short- and medium-term opportunities in the evolving EU–Australia relationship and fosters collaboration on shared global priorities.
The initiative promotes engagement across a wide range of sectors, including multilateral cooperation, trade and business relations, digital and green policies, civil society, human rights and labour standards. It also creates space for cultural and academic exchanges and encourages stronger alignment on global governance and the international rules-based order.
The project offers support through:
- Organisation of policy dialogues, public events, and technical exchanges
- Production of policy briefs, communication campaigns and visibility materials
- Promotion of cultural, academic and media collaborations
- Facilitation of think tank partnerships and civil society engagement
- Alignment with broader EU initiatives, including the Global Gateway
The project helps position the EU as a trusted and engaged partner in Australia, strengthening its presence and voice in the region.
