Trade Facilitation Support Programme

The rationale of this project is to provide advisory services to prepare the ground for the tendering of a trade facilitation programme in Algeria and to establish a six-month start-up phase while at the same time strengthening the Ministry of Trade’s capacity to implement international agreements.

The project support is a combination of:

• Capacity-building of the function and role of the National Director of the programme
• Preparation of Terms of Reference and Technical Specifications for tender procedures
• Delivery of a training programme for the staff of the Ministry of Trade
• Establishment of market surveillance mechanisms
• Preparation of a Six Month Start-up Programme Estimate
