Technical Assistance in Leader Rural Development Methodology for a Global Prooject Design and Training of National and Regional Stakeholders

The rationale of this project is to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism’s project development team to plan and implement Leader Rural Development and to understand and apply Leader principles in Local Economic Development (LED) promotion by providing advisory services.

The project support is a combination of:

• Training of the project development team in leadership and project planning and execution
• Capacity building of the national and regional stakeholders to apply Leader principles in Local Economic Development promotion
• Establishment of specific a methodological framework that will strength businesses and regional competitiveness
• Engagement of LED Colombia Project to promote fair and sustainable local economic development and dignified employment for the population
