Needs Assessment for Trade Related Assistance in Vietnam

To assist Vietnam in its efforts to increase its participation in World Trade and to participate more fully in the World Trading System by developing a pro poor strategy for trade reform and trade related assistance.
To assist the country integrate trade into its development policy.
To support the development of Vietnam’s capacity to negotiate effectively on trade and investment issues and implement its commitments at multilateral, regional and bilateral levels.
To provide practical reinforcement for the implementation of existing trade-related rules and procedures such as customs and IPR.
To support the adaptation by Vietnamese exporters to evolving technical requirements/standards in major export markets affecting trade in goods and services, especially regarding food safety and the environment.
