Facilitating the Implementation of the Partnership Cooperation Agreement in the Kyrgyz Republic

The rationale for this project is to facilitate the implementation of the Partnership Cooperation Agreement (PCA) between the EU and Kyrgyzstan providing advisory services to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government officials on the nature and scope of a PCA with the EU and to facilitate its implementation.

The project support is a combination of:

• Increasing the knowledge of Kyrgyz civil servants about the EU, and some of the EU´s most important policies, as reflected in the PCA, though the organisation of seminars, workshops and study visits
• Strengthening of the trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the EU member states by making available the EU standards and requirements in the field of public health, animal health (veterinary) and plant health (photos-sanitary).
