Project description

EQUINOCCIO leads the EuropeAid-funded “Project in support of the Tunisian association to the H2020 Programme”, which aims to boost and professionalize participation of Tunisian stakeholders in this European R&I programme.

One of its main components is Training , which is oriented to three target publics: “Community public”, i.e. the R&I community ( researches and industry submitting project proposals), “Network public”, i.e. the professionals of networks of R&I support institutions ( NCP, scientific counsellors, PMO staff in Universities or research institutions, Focal Information Points…) and “Governance public”, i.e. senior staff in public governance positions and policy-makers (High-level officers in Ministries, Vice-presidents in universities, etc.)

We are currently looking for senior expert to deliver a training module orientated to the “Network” public; delivery of module will be home-based through video-conferencing. Once the module delivery is done, the expert shall edit and readjust its content in order to adapt it and transform it into an e-learning format module, that will be later on integrated within the UGPO intranet to be permanently at the Tunisian R&I community disposal

The module,  EU 604: how to practice lobbying in European R&I projects will be delivered in either English or French :

  • Inputs: 8,5 home-based working days ( 1 day briefing and e-learning precedents familiarization; 2 days home-based preparation , 5 x 0.5 days delivery via video-conferencing, 2 days e-learning set-up and 1 day reporting)

 Objectives of EU 604 module on how to practice lobbying in European R&I projects are listed below:

The aim of this module is to be able to position a network of Tunisian actors in the dynamics of calls for projects at an European level by:

  • Identifying the decision makers and leaders of a topic
  • Understanding the construction mechanics of a call for projects
  • Producing information to position its players

 

Profile requirements:

Qualifications and competences:

- Holder of a Higher Education Diploma

- Language Skills:

o Excellent fluency in English written and oral

o Fluency in both written and oral French will be considered an asset

- Computer skills: Word, Excel, Powerpoint

- Excellent hosting skills

- Listening skills and oral communication

- Excellent mastery of H2020 portals (information, application, indicators)

- Knowledge of the operation and administrative structure of the EC for H2020 and Horizon Europe

General professional experience:

- General work experience of at least 10 years (Senior)

- Experience in the research context

- Prior international professional experience working in non-European countries or with non-European stakeholders will be considered as an asset

Specific work experience:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in participating in European R&I and Support projects
  • Knowledge of H2020 and Horizon Europe program funding instruments
  • Consortium building / partner search
  • Experience at organizational level in a role with responsibility for liaison, networking and/or lobbying with European R&D actors (EC and mayor European players)
  • Consolidated experience in adult training / continuing education / professional training :

Creation of syllabus, training outline, training content

Public speaking

Participatory pedagogy

Assessment

  • Experience in online training tools / online assessment will be considered an asset
