In-house Business Development Manager

Position: In-house Business Development Manager (2 positions)

Location: Madrid

Contract terms: Permanent fulltime position. Immediate start

Due to our growing business activity, Equinoccio is currently recruiting qualified professionals to strengthen our international business development team. Specifically we are looking for an experienced business development manager within the multilateral business unit with experience in EC procedures, PRAG and project cycle management (PCM), ideally for Europe and Asia-Pacific region.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development:

  • Identification and follow up of new business opportunities
  • Project Pipeline management
  • Assessment of feasibility and sustainability new business opportunities
  • Business identification meetings and fact finding missions
  • Preparation of expressions of interest

Bid Management:

  • Consortium set up
  • Coordination of the tender process with consortium partners
  • Coordination and contribution in the writing of technical proposals / technical reports
  • Identification/recruitment and set up of teams of consultants and negotiation of terms of engagement
  • Preparation of project budgets and financial proposals

Corporate responsibilities:

  • Contribution to the development of the overall strategy of the company
  • Contribution to meeting Equinoccio’s quality system, objectives and work procedures

Reporting:

Reporting to the Head of Business Development

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in an area related to our main lines of work
  • Masters in a related field
  • Proven track record in multilateral institution business development
  • Proven track record in the preparation of technical assistance proposals, with sectors of climate change/social development
  • Minimum of one, ideally three years of working experience in the sector or equivalent experience in economic or international development
  • Ability to work well in a demanding environment, adhering to project and work deadlines.
  • Delivering essential inputs to colleagues, partners, beneficiaries and clients on time, every time
  • Strong computer skills

Language skills (at least 3):

  • Native English speaker / Native French speaker/ Native Spanish speaker
  • Fluency in English / French / Spanish / Arabic/ Russian as working language/s would be an advantage
